Tournament director Rich Goosmann and the Ohio Handball Association were proud to present the 2026 Mid-America Regional 4-Wall Championships & R48 Pre Qualifier at the Bowling Green State University Student Rec Center, featuring small ball 4-wall singles and doubles brackets and a JR WPH Clinic. The Men’s Open Singles served as the Mid America’s R48 Pre Qualifier.
Men’s R48 Pre Qualifier Singles
Race 4 Eight pros Bill Mehilos and Matt Job headlined the R48 Pre Qualifier singles field at the 2026 Mid-America Regional 4-Wall Championships. Mehilos and Job were joined by several of Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Missouri’s best in the 10-player draw.
Mehilos and Job met in the final, with both advancing to the final without dropping a game. Job was too strong for Mehilos in the final, overwhelming the SR48 star to win the Mid America R48 Pre Qualifier. “Matt just outran Bill in the final, Bill isn’t 25 anymore,” stated tournament director Rich Goosmann.

JR WPH Clinic at the 2026 Mid-America Regional 4-Wall Championships
JR WPH Coach Rodney Fink enthusiastically led a junior clinic at the 2026 Mid-America Regional 4-Wall Championships. Coach Fink focused on the sidearm stroke, ceiling shot, back wall shot, and point play.
“The clinic went really well,” stated Fink, who coached the clinic in between his 77+ singles and doubles finals. “We worked on letting the ball drop to proper point of contact, whip action on side arm stroke, using legs on ceiling shot, back wall baby steps to point of contact, and ended with king of the court singles. The kids had a lot of potential.”
