Tournament directors David Schmelz, Jennifer Schmitt, and Will Arsenault and the Daytona Ormond Beach Handball Association proudly presented the 2025 Florida 3-Wall Oktoberfest at Nova Community Park in Ormond Beach, FL.
“We have 4 beautiful 3-wall courts just a few miles from the beach,” exclaimed the Daytona Ormond Beach Handball Association before the event. “Enjoy fun camaraderie with your handball friends at the Nova Community Park, which is just a few miles north of Daytona Beach and the International Speedway, home of the Daytona 500. Bring the whole family to enjoy the park, which boasts a huge skate park and a massive playground.”

The Schmitt brother headlined the 2025 Oktoberfest field, joined by Sunshine State stars Brett Arsenault and John Mastropierro.
Dylan and Taylor entered Sunday morning’s final match of the four-player round robin undefeated, with the winner to hoist the Oktoberfest title.
Dylan was too strong for his brother in their third respective match of the weekend, keeping Taylor pinned behind the back line with deep power serves and pouncing on kill shot opportunities.
“Dylan cooked me,” lamented Taylor.
“It was weird playing my bro in a tournament for the first time, but it didn’t go much different than our matches in practice,” Dylan would later say. “He played well but I got my serves going, especially deep to the left, and he was struggling to return it. Other than that, Taylor did a good job of moving me around but struggled to end rallies, while I went for the kill early.”
