March 23rd-26th, 2017 @ the NYAC (Women’s Elite, Pro Qualifiers & Men’s Elite)

The World Players of Handball Foundation returns to the infamous New York Athletic Club for the sixth stop of the professional handball season. Once again, WPH will air pro matches LIVE on race4eight.com (Sat and Sun) while bringing along the world’s best women and men’s athletes. Pro Qualifier begins at noon Thursday; continuing Friday morning, March 23rd. Main draw pro matches begin at 12pm Friday (pros rd of 16), while some local brackets begin on Thursday after 12 noon. Women’s pros begin Friday morning.

The NYAC Annual Invitational Handball Tournament is a fan favorite. Stay right at the NYAC and enjoy the most scenic family handball event on tour!

Attire:

Men: compulsory jacket on Thursday/ Friday and Saturday dinner (if at the AC) – Collared shirt: weekends
starting 5pm Friday.

Women: comparable attire.

Proper attire is a NYAC requirement.

Lodging: A limited number of rooms are available at the athlete’s rate at the NYAC.

All WPH Players will use the R48Pro Handball (qualifiers, Senior 40+ & Elite Men); except the women, as voted by the players.  Women will use the Red 21, by the USHA.

DV brings 25 years of broadcast radio experience (in Oregon and California) to World Players of Handball & ESPN broadcasts and provides professionalism and wit to the amazing game of handball. DV also serves as the Executive Director of the World Player of Handball at the WPH headquarters in Tucson, AZ, working daily to grow the game of handball through innovation.
