The World Players of Handball and George Lee tournament directors Tag Coolidge, Martin Mulkerrins, Jeff Wall, and Terry Bowman are thrilled to present the 80th George Lee, January 29-31, 2027 at the T. Boone Pickens Downtown YMCA in Dallas, located at 601 N Akard St, Dallas, TX 75201.
The George Lee is the longest-running handball tournament in the U.S., and the 2027 George Lee promises to be one of the most exciting, as the Race 4 Eight hits Dallas for the first time to commemorate the LXXX George Lee. The 2027 George Lee will feature the R48 Men’s Pro and the WR48, in addition to various men’s and women’s amateur singles and doubles brackets.
“The George Lee Invitational is thrilled to partner with the World Players of Handball Foundation and the United States Handball Association in presenting the 80th George Lee Invitational tournament,” stated George Lee co-tournament director Tag Coolidge. “The world’s longest-running handball tournament is a Dallas tradition and has been won by many national and world champions, including Jimmy Jacobs, Johnny Sloan, Paul Haber, John Bike, Jr., Paul Brady, and Martin Mulkerrins. This year’s edition promises to be the best ever, showcasing WPH Men’s and Women’s pros as well as many up-and-coming collegiate players.”
The R48 Men and WR48 should expect to start at 9 am on Friday, January 29, Amateur brackets will start on Friday afternoon, January 29.

WPH RACE 4 EIGHT: The World Players of Handball’s 2026/27 Race 4 Eight Tour features Race 4 Eight stops from California to Mexico, all culminating with The Player’s Championship. Similar to NASCAR’s Nextel Cup and the FedEx PGA Playoffs, players earn points in the Race 4 Eight’s regular season stops to qualify for the season-ending Player’s Championship and bonus prizes.
