The 2025 R48/WR48/SR48 LAAC marks the ninety-fourth event in the history of the Race 4 Eight tour, with the tour spanning seventeen states and two countries since the Race 4 Eight’s inaugural season in 2011/12.
The Race 4 Eight returns to the LAAC for the second time (2012) for the sixth stop of the 2024/25 Race 4 Eight season, as the tour’s best head to Tinseltown for valuable ranking points and a chance to win the prestigious Race 4 Eight LAAC title.
Editor’s Note: After 8-months of having the entry form LIVE and over the weekend of March 14th, 2025, the WPH & LAAC hit the player cap for the Senior 40+ (16) and Pro men (32). The Pro women are approaching the cap of 16; and is first come-first-serve. The LAAC/WPH team has decided to extend the player cap to 40 players. You can enter up until the 40-player-cap or deadline (whichever comes first).
R48 #1 Martin Mulkerrins will be the overwhelming favorite heading into the R48 Men’s Pro LAAC, having won six of his last seven Race 4 Eight starts and thirty-one of his last thirty-two matches. Eleven-time Race 4 Eight champion and R48 #2 Lucho Cordova will be aiming for his second title of the 2024/25 season in L.A., while third-ranked Ray Ure and fourth-ranked Leo Canales will be aiming for their first Race 4 Eight titles. R48 #9 pro and tournament director Vic Perez will be proudly waving the LAAC flag in pursuit if his first Race title.
The WR48 will feature a battle for the top spot at the LAAC, with current WR48 #1 Mikaila Esser seeking to retain her number one spot against a strong field that includes 2024/25 WR48 champions Ciana Ni Churraoin (Memorial ’24) and Martina McMahon (Red ’25).
Sean Lenning will make his first SR48 start at the 2025 LAAC. Lenning will be joined in the SR48 LAAC draw by ten-time SR48 champion Marcos Chavez, former SR48 finalist Bill Mehilos, and Hall of Famer John Bike.

WPH RACE 4 EIGHT: The World Players of Handball’s 2024/25 Race 4 Eight XIV Powered by ESPN features Race 4 Eight stops from California to Mexico, all culminating with The Player’s Championship. Similar to NASCAR’s Nextel Cup and the FedEx PGA Playoffs, players earn points in the Race 4 Eight’s regular season stops to qualify for the season-ending Player’s Championship and bonus prizes.
