The WPH Race 4 Eight Player’s Choice Awards

Los Angeles, CA, WPH Press, 3/27/25

The Race 4 Eight pros voted Ray Ure as the 2024 Breakthrough Player of the Year, recognizing the sensational breakthrough year Ure enjoyed in 2024. Ure played sporadically on the tour before 2024, only flashing signs of his immense potential.

Ure fulfilled that potential as a full-time tour pro in 2024, defeating Max Langmack, David Fink, Sean Lenning, Lucho Cordova, Sam Esser, Danos Cordova, and virtually all of the game’s best in a statement breakthrough year that saw Ure make his first Race final at October’s Portland Classic and end 2024 in the Race 4 Eight top six.

Ure is no stranger to success, running sub-4:20 miles on his collegiate track team at Mankato, earning all-state diving honors in high school, and excelling in virtually everything he has ever done in sports and in school.

Ure can now add the 2024 Race 4 Eight Match of the Year (HERE) and the 2024 Race 4 Eight Breakthrough Player of the Year to his resume.
