The World Players of Handball is proud to recognize Nick Flores as the 2023 WPH Volunteer of the Year. Flores graciously and selflessly worked countess hours to grow the sport and the World Players of Handball’s initiatives in 2023, serving as the Race 4 Eight and WPH Outdoor rankings director, reporting on numerous tournaments in the Pacific Northwest throughout the year, reporting on JR WPH programs and initiatives in Portland and the surrounding areas and serving as a JR WPH coach in Portland and the surrounding areas.

“We are so fortunate to have Nick as part of our team,” stated the WPH’s David Fink. “Nick’s passion for handball is easily palpable and contagious. Nick not only loves the Race 4 Eight and WPH Outdoor tours, but shares an equal passion for seeing new players developing a passion for the game and promoting the game. Nick is available 24/7 to help our organization, often receiving and responding to many emails from the WPH late at night and early in the mornings on weekends and even holidays. Thank you Nick!”
