2023 R48 Montana Red Death Full Preview

The 2023 R48 Montana Red Death marks the 75th event in the history of the Race 4 Eight tour, with the tour spanning 17 states in the R48’s first ten seasons. The 2023 R48 Montana Red Death will feature the top eight pros on the Race 4 Eight Men’s Pro tour, headlined by R48 #1 pro Lucho Cordova (MEX), R48 #2 pro Martin Mulkerrins (IRE), and 3-time defending Montana Red Death champion and 20-time R48 champion Killian Carroll (IRE).

The Elite 8 pros will be joined by former R48 Elite 8 member Vic Perez (CA), who will be making his first R48 start in three years, and a strong group of emerging Race 4 Eight contenders from North America and Ireland, to include Ivan Burgos (CAN), Mark Doyle (IRE), John Chapman (MT), Dylan Hernandez (CA), and a number of the world’s best.

In the Red Death’s first year as an official R48 stop in 2018, the Montana Red Death was voted “R48 Newcomer Stop of the Year” by the R48 pros and was a serious contender for R48 stop of the year. Complete with endless hospitality, enthusiastic and knowledgeable fans, and a beautiful facility, the 2023 Montana Red Death promises to be an outstanding event.

WPH RACE 4 EIGHT: The World Players of Handball’s 2022/23 Race 4 Eight XI Powered by ESPN features Race 4 Eight stops in Oregon, Arizona, Louisiana, Montana, Texas, and Pennsylvania, all culminating with The Player’s Championship in Utah in May of 2023. Similar to NASCAR’s Nextel Cup and the FedEx PGA Playoffs, players earn points in the Race 4 Eight’s regular season stops to qualify for the season-ending Player’s Championship and bonus prizes.
