“Handball is being played in universities all over the world so many don’t realize we have great pro tournaments like this one,” stated Houston Race 4 Eight co-tournament director and WPH Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Ron Cole. “Many of the best players are from Ireland. We’ll have a few of them at this tournament. To play the game, you have to be ambidextrous and exceptionally focused. The ball is small and hard. It’s extremely fast paced. Once you’re hooked, it’s a fabulous sport. I’ve played for 60 years.” Cole has won 10 USHA National Masters Championships, was inducted into the Southwest and SCHA Handball Hall of Fame.
“We are so excited to be returning to Houston for the eighth year,” stated R48 Elite 8 pro David Fink. “The Houston Handball Club treats the players so well. We can’t wait for another great event in H Town!”
