2021 WPH Outdoor 3-Wall Icebreaker #11 – Men’s Semis (D. Cordova vs Ruiz)

Posted on Jul 23 2021 - 5:00am by DV

The WPH proudly hosted the Icebreaker 11 at Tucson’s Clark Park, the 11th Icebreaker since the restart of pro handball in September of 2020. Dubbed the Icebreaker because the WPH was safely “breaking the ice” during the pandemic, the Icebreaker tour has attracted virtually all of the best players from North America. The Icebreaker 11 was the final opportunity for the Icebreaker pros to earn Icebreaker ranking points in advance of the Ice Bowl – the Icebreaker season-ending championship.

Shorty Ruiz vs. Daniel Cordova

Shorty Ruiz was seeking his first Icebreaker title, while Daniel Cordova was aiming to become just the second player to win an Icebreaker and Race 4 Eight title. Could Ruiz’s power ceiling ball overcome Daniel’s hop serve?
