2016 Armed Forces Tribute Tournament

USHAndball.org reports, Court Shorts, May 26th, 2016-  The Fred Lewis Foundation for Youth Handball and the Tucson Racquet & Fitness Club welcome over 100 players to the first Armed Forces Tribute Handball Tournament held this Memorial Day Weekend in Tucson! In the spirit of the long-running Semper Fi Handball event, the Armed Forces Tribute Handball Tournament will play through the holiday weekend which gives special acknowledgement to those who have fallen for our country.

The Tucson Racquet Club is family friendly with swimming pools, a child care center, and a full-service restaurant, and the USHA headquarters and Handball Hall of Fame will be open for visitors as well. The USHA will be open regular hours on Friday, May 27 (8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and Saturday, May 28, from 9 a.m. to Noon. Come by and check out the displays or pick up gloves and balls to save shipping charges!

If you can’t make it by the Hall on Friday or Saturday, give your order to Executive Director Vern Roberts at the tournament and he’ll deliver on Sunday morning.

DV also serves as the Executive Director of the World Player of Handball at the WPH headquarters in Tucson, AZ, working daily to grow the game of handball through innovation.
