The 2026 R48 Men’s Pro Juarez will be the fourth Race 4 Eight stop in Mexico, with the first three editions providing many of the tour’s most dramatic matches, thanks in large part to the boisterous and enthusiastic Juarez galleries. The Juarez R48 brings unmatched energy, galvanizing the players to raise their games and intensity.

“Cd. Juarez/El Paso, over time, has been characterized by having very good handball players with a very particular style of play,” stated Juarez R48 tournament director and Juarez handball patriarch Luis Cordova, Sr. “Among them we can count Johnny Benitez, Naty Alvarado, Elias Carrillo, Poncho Monreal, Salvador Santa Ana, Luis Clarke, Leo Canales Jr. and Cordova brothers Luis and Daniel, to name a few.”

Expect to see all of the game’s to stars in Juarez in 2026, to include the three Cordova brothers.

Tournament seeds reflect rankings at the time of the event but are not the sole determining factor. The WPH retains the discretion to seed players based on their skill level, recent performance, and injury status.

The Executive Director will seed each tournament in a manner that respects the objectivity of the WPH rankings, while acknowledging that some unranked players are strong enough to disrupt the integrity of a draw if not seeded subjectively. Therefore, the seeding process will involve the objective constraint that no ranked player may be seeded ahead of a higher ranked player, while allowing for the subjective seeding of any unranked player the Executive Director deems strong enough to disrupt the draw.
